NBA Daily: Lillard continues his amazing streak, Irving puts up 54 in Nets’ win


In a very emotional atmosphere in Staples Center, after Lakers showed their tribute for Kobe and Gianna Bryant, the Blazers won against the Lakers 127-119. Lillard just continued his amazing run of games, as he dropped 48 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists. Hassan Whiteside stepped up and helped him with 30 points and 13 rebounds, and also 5 blocks. At the Lakers, Anthony Davis had 37 points, 15 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 blocks, James was visibly upset, as him and Kobe were amazing friends. He scored 22 points and dished out 10 assists.

Brooklyn Nets hosted Chicago Bulls and destroyed them(133-118). Kyrie Irving with 54 points(19/23 fg) reminded us of his potential and who can he be. One more time, Dinwiddie took a roll of a substitute, dropping tonight 20 points with 7 assists. LaVine with 22 points and 8 assists is as always Bulls’ best player on the court. Kornet(19 pts) and Satoransky(15 pts, 8 ast) did something that was worthy.

Detroit Pistons didn’t have a chance beating the champs, Toronto Raptors(92-105). DRose is continuing to amaze us with his performances, 21 points he scored for continuing the 20-point streak. Drummond with another 20/20 game for him, it will become something normal for him in the future. Siakam(30 points he scored tonight) after Leonard left took the torch as a primary option and lead his team as the second best record in the East. Ibaka with 21 points and VanVleet with 16/8/9 developed their chemistry last year, because of the load management Leonard preferred.

New Orleans Pelicans one more time has beaten Memphis Grizzlies(139-111) only with shooting behind the arch. Pelicans have scored 27 points more than Grizzlies only with their 3’s. Zion Williamson with 24 points meets all expectations as the first pick. Ingram(20 pts), Ball(19 pts, 6 rebs and 8 ast) and Holiday(18 pts) stopped Memphis completely with their defence. Valaciunas scored 18 points and Morant 16 in their defeat but still Grizzlies hold 8th place in the West.

The Rockets managed the Mavericks in Toyota Center (128-121). The Mavs played without their Star player, Luka Dončić, so Porzingis picked uo the slack and scored 35 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. It wasn’t enough to get the win, as the Rockets had Harden who scored 35 points (also 16 rebounds) and Westbrook who had 32 points.

The Nuggets played their second game of their back-to-back, and won against the Bucks in Milwaukee 127-115. All Nuggets’ players that played today showed up and had great games, as all of their 9 players had more than 10 points. Barton led them with 24 points, Beasley had 16, Porter had 15 points and 11 boards, Jokić was one assist shy of a new triple double, as he had 15 points, 10 boards and 9 assists. At the Bucks, Giannis had 31 points, 16 rebounds and 9 assists, Middleton followed with 24 points and 9 assists of his own.

The Oklahoma City Thunder win another game, this is their 7th win in the last 8 games, and this time the victim were the Suns in Phoenix (111-107). Gallinari led the team in scoring with 27 points, Schröder had 24 points off the bench, All-Star Chris Paul had 20 points and 10 assists. At the Suns, Devin Booker had 27 points after being snubbed for All-Star game, Oubre also had 27 points, along with 11 boards.
