Daniel Cormier would prefer Miočić trilogy for his retirement fight

Daniel Cormier (22-2-0, 1 NC), former UFC double champ, would preferably take on current UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miočić (19-3) in his last fight!

DC has claimed in the past that his wish would be retiring before the age of 40, being on top of the world’s best MMA organization. Even though Cormier has turned 40 in March, the other half of his wish should be fulfilled in December.

“I’m going to fight this guy again, and my intention is to fight him in the right way. Hopefully that’s enough to get my hand raised. But I’ll go fight him again, (and) win or lose, I’m not fighting again. This will be the only time I ever step foot in the Octagon again.”

A trilogy bout would also be a preference of Dana White, who has stated that Stipe will be back as soon as he heals his injury. The perfect venue for the bout would be the last pay-per-view event of the year, UFC 245 in Las Vegas, which only features two fights currently – Holloway vs. Volkanovski and Nunes vs. De Randamie.

Cormier’s only two losses came in the UFC, against Jon Jones and Stipe Miočić, even though DC was also defeated by Jones in UFC 214’s main event. The decision was, however, infamously turned into a no-contest after Jones failed a PED test courtesy of USADA for turinabol.

If DC comes out on top in a trilogy fight against Miočić, where do you rank him all-time?
